Sample CV For Experienced But Less Qualified

Be honest in the CV

Honesty is a very important facet when you formulate your CV. There is nothing wrong with being less qualified. What has to be understood is that qualification is not the only factor that employees look for. The most important part is accepting that you are less qualified for the job but your experience makes you eligible.

Emphasize on your strengths

Your CV should emphasize on your strengths, skills and abilities. It is not necessary that a qualified person be suitable just based on his qualification. In almost all jobs, special skills play a key role. You can highlight your positive aspects in order to be considered. However, you should take care not to seem desperate. Assertiveness is the best path to tread when it comes to writing a CV. A sample CV downloaded from the net will help you write one effectively.

Talk about how your experience can help in

The CV should bring forth your experience and confidence. You can put in references that will highlight your skills. Employers evaluate candidates based on their CVs. HR professionals are trained to read between the lines to understand the qualities of the applicant. You can refer CV Examples to learn how to highlight your experience.

An employer will obviously prefer candidates with less education than the candidates who have long list of degrees but can do nothing for the organization so you are advised to be very honest while writing your CV because sometimes honesty becomes your support and you reach your destination where you can never reach with fake statements. It becomes more offensive when you make list of your experiences too long and in interview fail to prove that you are the same person whom you described in your CV.  Be honest in CV, success will be yours if not today but will surely be of yours on tomorrow.

Study Tips for Working Women

It becomes quite difficult for a working woman to study properly while doing full time job. Although working and studying at the same time is not ideal, however many people have no other choice. Though it seems as if the thought of juggling work and study might seem overwhelming, but it is quite feasible with some planning and self-discipline. Following are some of the most important tips that can be helpful in making the life of a working woman as little bit easier.

  • Make a plan for your work. Note your deadlines well in advance and place them where you can easily see them, either at home, or at work, or even both.
  • Try to make good use of any time that could otherwise be wasted time, like reading in the bus, listening to an Open University program in the evening, etc.
  • Keep in mind to get the balance right. While managing time, it is also important to look after yourself as it is quite exhausting to study for a professional qualification. Eat properly, do exercise, take breaks, and get rest. Whenever possible, continue to socialize.
  • If you are having problem meeting a deadline, or you are having a family or work emergency, inform your course tutors well in time and they will surely understand the pressures of trying to balance work and study at once.
  • Constantly remind yourself what doing the study will mean for you in future. Make a very clear reason to do the course. If you will have a weak reason for studying then your motivation level will fall down and eventually your study will suffer.
  • If possible, tell your boss what you are doing as your efforts to study will show that you are very serious about your personal development and growth as an individual.
  • Keep in mind that a number of mature students are going back to part time or full time study. Consider this an opportunity for expanding your network.
  • Try to set up a special spot where you can work comfortably. You can use anything that will help you focus, such as timetables, colored pens, your goals written on a wall, mind maps, and flowers at your work space. Find out the time of day you study best. For example, some people find it easy to study in the morning, while others prefer studying at night.
  • It is a good idea to use the careers service in your organization. If you are studying long distance then try to get information about what facilities the training or education provider has for you. Always take advantage of the services they offer whenever possible.
  • Learn to say ‘No’ to requests you would generally take on either at work or at home.

Always keep in mind that you must look after yourself as you are worth it. While studying, ensure that you are not to be interrupted except for a life and death emergency.
